Bringing Power and Change Some things have always been scary Like spiders, snakes, heck, even raspberries But other things are scary too Like the things that push me down, until I break That have so much force they cause my wake As I sit here and ponder all of these things I wonder what they all can bring Society has made me build up my walls Then it breaks them down without a problem So much force that could be beautiful But no good is done to make things better To make things different To make things into somethings I wonder what that could bring People become royalty in their own school While the other kids are left in a pool A pool of nothing, invisibility While the royalty is found, swimming in glamour They have so much power and force But they do nothing to sway the pool To change what the pool could do To change something And see what it could bring Alas, these people bring nothing Except for some Some of these people get it But others stay numb Numb with their power That they could use to bring So much more Than just nothing -Megan
