Bright Tomorrows
BRIGHT TOMORROW By Curtis Johnson
So much of our world revolves around religion, food, finance, and family
Religion may disappoint, food runs out, finances easily disappear, but
the family will be there if or when all else have left us standing in misery
I have experienced economies, both the good and bad ones
Our lives are sometimes up and down, a lot like stocks and bonds
Sometimes we run like bulls: other times, we hibernate like bears
Just recently I reached the beginnings of my retirement years
Though life at times was hard, I still managed to climb those hills
No, I cannot turn back time or change yesterday, but I choose to be happy today.
No, I cannot predict or determine the future, but God is with me, come what may.
Full of confidence and faith, I have no time for looking in the rears.
O, there may be a few minor regrets, but I have no complaints or tears.
I'm moving on toward bigger and better tomorrows, without worries or fears.
Our God is alive and still talking to us. Let's keep listening with both ears.
