Brief - Lady' Purses -Calceolaria

buttery yellow
      cute puffy flowers splattered
with cinnamon dots

"Red Hots" eye candy are these
      pocket purses on bushes!

Those are unusual flowers! I am glad that you write a poem everyday. I still write verse and think that more people should. I still volunteer at Poets House. Outside of me - who are your favorite poets. I am off from ESL for the summer. Watching the Mets now and I plan to write some more baseball poems. Gregory Corso and Carl Sandburg are two poets who wrote fine poems about the game. Peace & Power Matthew Anish

I can absolutely see the flowers. But when I was little somehow 'red hots' were dangerous! I think I was the only kid on the block who thought that way; maybe the only kid in town! I wanted the safe, sweet stuff. Now I know it was just cinnamon candy for Pete's sake!

That is just what they look like Andrea. It is hard to believe they are real when you see them in person. A great tanka Andrea. I love the idea of red hots, eye candy! I think this will do great in the contest! : )
