Breathing Love

How explicit can my soul be? I have tread the different walkways of life Gathering pricks and kisses Leaving a trail of tears and smiles I'm a bed of failures that I shroud They commiserate my eyes To touch the hearts of unloved My world envies my success story And with sweet love emulate me The hands I hold are never left They are now my responsibility Their hazards are now mine I feed their dreams to flower Their maternal guide and mentor Till they reach their alps The hands that I have left I never hold Their memories wither to death My heart and trust they swindled Give me love and I give my life I breathe and celebrate only love April 2, 2016 Catie Lindsey
