Breathe...
Inhabit the suffocating air,
Inhale the torture into your lungs,
Squeeze the pain between your lips
And exhale,
The suffocating air swimming within your soul,
As the pain grips your heart,
With every breath you take,
You start falling apart,
You close your eyes,
Trying not to feel the pain,
You try to hold your breath,
As you contemplate the darkness,
You picture a garden,
You see butterflies fluttering around
Colors, creating smiles...
In your head, you see paradise,
A smile appears on your face,
You imagine yourself in this peaceful place
You stop thinking of the pain...
As this image continues to lurk,
In the dark, you’re alone,
Your eyes closed, and a smile appearing on your face,
You take a deep breath without notice,
You’re still smiling….
“People see what their eyes want to see, they put themselves in pain; they suffer
by their own acts… Close your eyes and imagine a beautiful place, a place filled
with smiles and grace, rainbows and angel shadows…. The pain will go away”
