Breakfast With You

I am so grateful to live in our idyllic world,
waking each morning to French toast and brew.
In my cup, hazelnut creamer you've swirled
then I'm treated to romantic nudges from you.

I love cuddling together in an amorous hug
and kisses on the dawn of each newborn day.
You're sweeter than sugar stirred in my mug
Held in your arms I'm eagerly swept away.

In our morning trysts I surrender with a sigh,
in the midst of playful caresses on the bed.
You've always ignited the sparks in my eyes,
but, Honey, you forgot the jam for my bread.

When I was halfway through I felt it was kind of blah, so I took a detour to Humor Street. Thanks John.

Don't you just hate when that happens. How are you supposed to eat toast without jam? This was fun Lin. Sounds like a happy morning to me, except for the forgotten jam of course. :)

Well, since he supplied LOTS of other sweets, he was forgiven. A happy morning...yes it was, if only in my imagination. Thanks for stopping in.
