Born Again For Contest

Born Again (For Contest)
Y’all come and join me while I set a spell
I’ll tell a tale that stirred in yonder dell
I reckon I might miss a word or two
But this happened here as I say to you
There lived a man here who was so nasty
His soul was so cussed that we all could see
Ornery and riled up as he could be
Then one day he met a cute little lass
She lived by the Book with plenty of sass
In time she wooed him and taught him the Word
Anger left him like a wee little bird
Now he’s in church with a dumb looking grin
I still wish he was the way he had been

G'day Ralph... nice little tale, and yes, we like to see a bit of unpredictability in some folk at times - Lindsay

Hi Laura: Thank you for your comment. I really enjoyed reading your Out of the depths. It was very emotional but there are all kinds of sin, aren't there?

Love this write. Yes , we sometimes love the wildness in others but trust me, having conquered mine(it was massive) I know tis better to be calm, deliberate and gentle. Wife helped teach me that.. A7--great write.
