Have you ever been
Bogged down
Wallerin in
All whopper-jawed
Neck deep in it
That's a boonedoggle
Have you ever been
So katty-whompus
That you sold your mule
To buy a plow
That's a boonedoggle
Have you ever seen
Folks fixin and piddelin
Like a dime
Holding up a dollar
That a boonedoggle
