Boobs

Boobs: Now there’s a word that has two unrelated meanings Your preference might indicate your private thoughts and leanings But boob can be a word that means a silly little error Not something that will trash your life for ever and forever Funny how in digital some numbers look like letters And that’s quite handy for us ageing PIN number forgetters Boob reminds me of a fulsome girl I used to date My pin number in future is Eight Zero Zero Eight (Just a little note to people fraudulence inclined If you just wrote that number down you must have lost your mind I’d never use that number now... my I.Q. aint three cubed And if I did then folk on Soup would tell me that I boobed) So, if your girl’s a Dolly Parton or a Taylor Swift Or if she just slips up a bit, she’s still your special gift The boobs my mother used to make they always left me smiley But boobs when made by Frankenstein are something else entirely

Hello Terry ... way down south they can sometimes called boobies and a booby is a sea faring bird; and a mistake is called a booboo, and then there is the booby trap but they all originate from boobs I guess - thank you Terry - Lindsay

Hey, Lindsay, I quite often google words to judge their worldwide useage. Just never occurred to me that making a boob was a UK thing. We do use booboo too. Thanks for stopping by. Terry

Weirdly enough until I read this poem I never thought of boobs having a second meaning, thinking only body doubles. Thank you for giving me a great idea,

I wonder if boob as an ‘oops!’ is a British thing. I’m intrigued as to your great idea... I’ll watch this space. Terry
