Bobby's Girl sung by Susan Maughan
Golden age of Poetry Contest -Sponsored by: Oliver Mckeithan
Once in the days of long ago
When us girls put our hearts on show
There was a boy in our school class
Who melt the heart of each young lass.
One fine day, Bobby came along
And us girls burst into fine song
We sang the song out loud with nerve
His face went red, we heard him curse.
Bobby was a good looking guy
No wonder he caught a girl's eye
I often ponder how he is
How he'd feel to be reading this.
For the lad who rang a girl's bell
I hope all is well, who can tell
Maybe he'll get to read these words
From a classmate's poetry verse.
