Bluster

Wind begins with the small tinkle outside my door from wind chimes hung just to capture the beginning of a bluster then roars to a point where it seems those chimes will fall from their peg to go far away with this fierce force blowing on.

Nice use of personification for convey your thoughts in this poem. We know well those fierce winds in North Dakota, especially with our -30 temps as of late. Keep warm! Keep on writing too! Karen

Lovely write, Sue, in which I can almost hear those wind chimes. So pleased that you and all the other friends I have made are here at the soup. Wishing you a Happy New Year and hoping that all your special dreams come true in 2009! Love, Nigel

Love wind chimes too! Hey, maybe you should enter this in the Many Voices of the Wind Contest! Just a thought, if you haven't already. I know what you mean, sometimes I wonder how they don't fall apart in the mighty gusts and get blown away forever. Beautiful write. I love this form. Love, Shar

I love the sound of wind chimes, both when the wind is gentle and when it's blustery. In fact, that sound is one of my favorite sounds in the whole world and it soothes my soul. I love your poem that captures that feeling. If this is for the contest, good luck, and I hope your New Year is a wonderful one! ~Juliane
