Blurred Pep Rushes

To wake up early, happily merged with morn,
while feeling pep rushes sun-energy surged,
was to feel my eager heart joys fully merge
with each new rising ray brightly incurred.
Early mornings held no unreasonable stress -
in fact, I danced right into my dress or pants.

When motherhood arrived, I was morn-cuffed to
unyielding, demanding and hectic schedules
that blurred morning glee out of sight from me.
My heart still holds fine love for early time zeal
and remembers their fueling, exciting strums.

Knowing you so well, i totally get this one and I know how fervently you wish to be able to be that organized super able person. i pray we both get our wishes; you for this(and also to always feel well) and me for healing i yearn for. This was a great job. i hope you get placed.

Someday, and soon!, you will dance into your dress or pants --- and your adult self will know enough to stay away, letting you play on! Very nice entry for the contest, CayCay. :) gw

I wouldn't mind sleeping in except my body clock doesn't allow it. I do find that mornings are my favorite time of day. Everything is fresh and new and quiet. : ) Loved your take on the contest my friend. Best wishes on your entry

my favorite parts of the day are seeing the sunrise and sunset, though where i live they are both hard unless i venture out...mornings i see each rise on my way to work and all of them amaze me, as if it was the first i have ever witnessed... love the collaboration my friend... great write! :) hugs

I love to wake up just before sunrise... and may even go back to bed after... mornings are beautiful... it's a little sad you can only appreciate them in memories of youth...these days
