Blue Moon
Blue Moon
The sky, a great banner
Rockets of a long forgotten land
Never reaching a destination.
Constellations
Distant, yet calling
"Remember us and what we used to be..."
Silent whispering
Traveling the currents of time.
The speed of light
Faster than adrenaline pumping
Stars colliding,
In a sky laced with glittering veins.
Cold and haunting
Stone and dusting
A seamless world
Connected in its complex bareness
Stained with an ill-conceived awareness.
Ancient wisdoms held in contempt
Centuries suppressed by regret.
Eerily etched in space
Gasses and flame
Burning and alight
Out of the darkness comes the light.
The distant asteroid-fields
Alive and magnetic
Distant worlds, cold and majestic.
Sandstorms raging on like great monsoons
A shooting star comes again
Hitting home,
Once in a Blue Moon.
