I had one for awhile that came in the spring and it was terrific; reminded me of a pterodactyl! Thanks for the memory Hank.

We have many blue herons in my neighborhood and they surely do look like ornamental statues as they scour the local ponds for treats. Flamingos do the same while standing on one foot. Very nice haiku! Best wishes, Milton.

One of my more popular photos is of a Black-crowned Night Heron swallowing a needlefish head-first, but not before the fish needles it! Heron have the utmost patience when fishing! Enjoyed!
