Awaking from deep slumber
she peeps at the crimson sky
her loose tresses wet with dew.
Shyly, loyal to the rising sun,
on a naked stalk she spreads
her striking petals washed in blue.
Growing in confidence she smiles
cheerfully exuberant.
Open-eyed, she whiles time away,
listening to the soft whispers
of the breeze and young lovers,
their every secret shared
willingly...they trust, they know:
A daisy never tells!
