Blue

`

                                        grave sapphire eyes
sting with tears, and she shivers

                                        her cold hands turn blue

                                        donning his Navy pea coat
her blue mood lifts with the fog

Oh my. This made me cry. I felt the fog swirling and the grey blue emotions of sorrow and longing. Very talented

Holy cow this gave me the creeps lol. It may be because it's 2am and I can't sleep and the thought of some poor soul stuck in a cold fog crying is for some reason a bit unnerving. Great!

I haven''t seen this contest yet, Carrie but this is as poetic as they come methinks. Well constructed and holds the reader there a spell or ,... in a spell. So be it. I like it lots.

When someone we love is away, it does make us feel closer to them to put on their shirts/jackets. It's like a part of them lingers there. Wonderful entry for Francine's contest, Carrie, and I wish you success. Love, Carolyn
