Blowing Blissfully In Immense Wheat Fields of Fertile Minds

Blowing Blissfully In Immense Wheat Fields Of Fertile Minds Upon the soft winds and the unenduring pallid breeze with its ragged, hot breath a flaming torch of frozen tease she that keeps her knives ready to cut in so very deep and poisons the pleasurable hours that tender heart sleeps her beauty its mirage displays a glitterings of gold and her spoken words cried by spirit far too damn bold she that has the magnificent beauty of a siren's face stole ravenous beating heart, without any to replace as I drown in deep waters polluted by her foul breath I feel the lying whisper of a very painful death as pale sky and bold seas both cast their powers far adrift and in glory oft Heaven sent, dear blessings that uplift. Blowing blissfully in immense wheat fields of fertile minds. Are visions from word magicians, immeasurably stone blind! Robert J. Lindley, dark sonnet March 25th, 1973

Oh my, a brilliantly deep and dark sonnet that expresses vivid emotions in such a meticulous way. Your phraseology is definitely so bewitching here and you've painted a myriad view of vulnerability with these wonderful words especially "mirage displays a glitterings of gold", "ravenous beating heart", "pale sky and bold seas", "wheat fields of fertile minds" Loving the wordplay so much! A very brilliantly articulated write, absolutely a fav! It's always a pleasure to read your brilliant poems

Thank you, my friend. My language use back then was experimentation and a bit visionary. Alas! Most of my poems were stolen and burnt of that time period. A bit over 300 poems. Thanks much for the fav!!! God bless you.

This is such a heartfelf sonnet, how beautifully you’ve described and expressed here in such a flawless manner. I love the flow of your lines and how you’ve written “ her spoken words.. far too damn bold” i use damn alot in my poems and its refreshing to see youve used here: and also “fields of fertile minds” so good! Such a profound and dark poem and the way you phrase lines is impeccable. fave for me

Thank you, my friend. Well, I was only 19 years old when composing this new creation. Iwas at that time studying old poets and trying out new forms. God bless you.

A deep and dark poem of feelings one feel when darkness choaks them and won't let go. There's always hope if we look inside for the comfort of the light within. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us through your magnificent poetry Robert. A FAV for my list. Blessings, Bill

Thank you, my friend. Yes when that kind of hard, deep and antagonizing darkness hits it seems like the end. So often only God's light can drive it away! God bless you.....

Another great sonnet my friend and from a time many of us were not born.. This is quite emotive and descriptive in nature with a great final couplet.. You are a word magician my friend..

A divine piece, dripping with sparkling, shiny, ink from your quill! Most assuredly, you are an “ word magician”..something I am not.I don’t mean that in a negative way at all.))) This moved me, thus deserves a fave, thank you.. Panagiota xx

Powerful, dear friend made impactful by your carefully chosen metaphoric images "her foul breath," "polluted," lying whisper." Yet, in all of the darkness your faith peeks through with the light of grace" dear blessings that uplift." It only takes one speck of grace to dispel darkness. As always, beautifully written. Blessings of autumn joy to you!
