Blazing Hot

My friends are at the tennis match But I am here at home And not because it’s comfortable For me to write my poem. The weather forecast for today Is worse than blazing hot. Humidity will kick in, too And tolerant I’m not. I watch the players on TV, My A/C set on high, For as I age, endurance is In dwindling supply.

Who am I to try to outdo Rico's comment. I will merely second it. Such enjoyable truth you write, Ilene! :) gw

It is just your imagination! Donald Trump assures us Climate Change is just Fake News. Glaciers are not really melting, so fill up your coal bucket, and thank God you have a way with words and not Donald Trump! Aloha! Rico

We are certainly getting blasted by the heat! I have had some bad health problems recently but am slowly recovering. Keep up the fine work! L'shanah tovah Matthew Anish

I'm with you Ilene. I can handle cold weather better than hot....especially humid weather. It becomes like a sauna here sometimes in summer. I enjoyed this relatable poem. I would much rather watch events on my t.v. in A/C! : )

I'm with you. I watched Sharapova last night, sweating and seeming like she might pass out at any moment thinking...I'm glad I'm in my chair in the a/c watching and not out there. Nicely done Ilene.
