Blank Verse Blind Judge
”Contests! We don’t need no stinking contests” sure
Email queries answered a contest sponsor
The names of the contestants
He knew before assessment
He failed to be a blind judgement dispenser.
In his self-chosen job he was dishonest
The prime placements of pride the poems could wrest
Not by poem quality
But by name identity
He made a farce of the poetry contest.
He once ran blank verse contest on open sky
A poet asked a question, he got reply
He submitted a blank page
Titled “ Sky’s Void Judges Gauge”
In the stinking contest he got a place high.
