Blank

I am blank Empty as a house without people In it Lights off, doors locked, windows Nailed shut A vacant shell of who I used to be, and who I am Waiting to become I am blank As a white sheet, wordless Though I am most certainly not clean I was rubbed raw, Scrubbed Until all that was left was an empty Page I am blank An expressionless face, unreadable Cool and collected As if I feel nothing at all But underneath lies a storm, a waterfall Of tears Raging beneath my skin, a place where No one can follow I am blank A tree without leaves Bare, in the dead of winter, and Although I am broken I believe I can grow into a beautiful magnolia Someday And reach the sky, peaceful At last I am blank Fill me
