"Black Crow Mojo"

I walk within my Cave of Dreams
Labyrinths that forever wind and turn
Deeper I journey inwards and evermore inwards
Keeping close the keys to secret doorways to
The Outer World.

Am I looking for her?
The Long Lost Girl?
Or am I leading you further
and further, into my arms,
into the arms of my wonderful world?

Like breadcrumbs,
I am dropping you all my precious pearls.

I am the Pheonix Warrior Woman
Adorned in Black Crow Feathers
Robe of Mojo Courage.

Now I am standing in your world
I stand on The Outside
Waiting
and watching you
In your Lost Dark World

"The meaning of the Crow symbol signifies wisdom. According to Native American legends and myths some tribes believed that the Crow had the power to talk and was therefore considered to be one of the wisest of birds. The sacred bird of the famous Ghost Dance was the crow. The Ghost Dance Religion used it as a symbol of the past when the crow had acted as a pathfinder for hunting parties. The feathers of the crow adorned their clothes and each dancer was to wear one eagle feather or one crow feather in their hair, The Sioux believed that when the great, final flood came to earth that the crow feathers would lift the ghost dancers from the ground to the safety of the heavens."

My Native American heritage gives special reverence to , as it does dark spirits. Crows are all around my house here and one can so easily see how immensely intelligent they are. I miss my walks in the woods because in wintertime its too difficult and no isolated woods here, as its all been settled 200+years.. A fav...

Leanne, as always I am intrigued by the alluring mojo of your poetry, how it captivates me and elevates my imagination to new heights and deep thoughts.. I love crows, and their mysticism and I love your poem and your mysticism. Whether you are beckoning yourself or other spirits to your deeper level of being, it is a beautiful beckoning.. Warmest wishes. ~Susan. p.s. I relished your note on the symbolic significance of the crow, as well

Such sensual mystic truth, Leanne. Take me on this journey ... I'm yours. I got a bad black crow mojo feeling coming. But I love the afterglow that it'll be leaving. Lol! Always faithful. Love conquers all. Poetry artistry at it's highest rainbow arc from your pristine pen. Always faithful. Intoxicating ink elixir. Love and smiles always.

Maybe I should continue this story. I always try to give 'em a good ending. I don't know what is entering my mind half the time, I do understand though, that words are very powerful mojo. Love and Joy to you Agent. Your writing is uber intellectual and to be perfectly honest - mindblowing. Love entering the mind of your world. It is another style and language far different than any I have read in these pages.

Ah, but am I? Or am I casting the Black Crow Feathers doing the Shaman Dance beckoning otherworldly Gods and spirits to me? ....
