Tears fall, soundless memories, silent as dew, Struggling from the morning’s gentle eyes, clawing Through the promises, feelings blooming, Like the blessings of roses, soft petals bathing In the sun’s clever glare… As she erases the silence, the dew, liquid hopes, Pleasures that burn through the sighs, Revealing souls who know, - oh, they know, When the jewel, beading on the rose, Bleeds, hesitant, the music from the light, Glowing like the miracles, wonderful and bright, Kissing away the nocturnal, darkness… Tears fall, aching to say what it is that quiets the past, What it means, this black and white presence It could see through the treasures, dreams blowing, On winds of Wednesday’s prayers, willful like the night… Gasping for breath, the murkiest shadows – faded Like the past, with all its telling signs… Then, the frosty feelings flowing, like tears, hungry, For the snow white beautiful that comes, In silent reflections, after each shadow has been made whole, And yesterday is at peace, recalling the rose – it’s grace, Kind like the angel’s embrace, vanishing on skies, As memories gush through the heart, tears… When they fill the eyes, there are moments – black and white, Silhouettes of souls, some here and some gone, Writing their messages in stone – blessing the liquid feeling, Falling from the heart who can see past its misery, Through the memories, into the soul of the sunrise, the morning Aching to reveal what it is to grow – not only the rose, But the beautiful that comes to those who believe… Tomorrow is only a figure of speech, the story, the message, The journey through the details, the music that rages in each tear… This is the reason that I know, even black – burns through clouds, Like the verses, the visions, the value of seeing the white, But knowing the black secrets what is left of that tear that is, yet… Aching to become a blessing for someone who needs to see, Even these tears cling to the spirit, reaching past shame and indignity, To comfort the heart who breaths – right or wrong, Yes or no, light or dark, black or white… as the tear sings its song, The tear calls the heart just as love escapes the dark, Creating light wherever she goes… With love, she always knows – black or white, The time will come when life knows there is hope, Even when hopeless talks – there is joy, even in despair, There is life in every single prayer. There is love in every heart who can hear… black burning through white’s muse, white echoing black’s truth, with love, she abies in you and black or white… tears stir the melody of the rose’s news, even the rain echoes magnificence, darkness remembers light, black never silences the white, where we go when we need peace, where we go when we just believe… where we see through fear, daring the black, to peel back its doubt and display the surprise, an untainted white with its genuine hope, the chance for the soul to bleed tears of love!

such rich and evocative imagery,Gina. I especially liked. On winds of Wednesday’s prayers, willful like the night… Gasping for breath, the murkiest shadows – faded Like the past, with all its telling signs… Your poem is profound and a bit dark but ends on a positive note. I assume this is for the black/white contest? If so, best wishes...a fabulous take! hugs Sara
