Black Albinsm
I call it black albinsm
Cause I'm a black albino
Born of black parents
And I'm no different from my parents
For just like my parents
I'm also being labeled different for my colour
And I'm still looked down upon
For things that I have no control over
For just like my parents
I fight oppression from peoples eyes
And have to fight just to have a voice
A voice on the table of the world
Cause we are all over the world
More so this Eastern part of Africa
We no longer just some small part of earth
We are visible and that's why we celebrate this day
I call it black albinsm
Cause black is the colour of endurance
It's even said that black doesn't crack
That's why we keep going even in hard times
