Bitter Sweet
Once a coffee bean espresso queen,
high on the joyousness
of caffeine's bitter welcoming.
Then came along a candied love
from a sweet life savor.
By a most unusual chance,
the two come to meet their fate.
thus evolved a bitter sweet love,
that once was more than true.
The sweet touch calmed the bitter
while the bitter
provided reassurance that life
is not always that sweet.
A coffee bean espresso queen
knows her standing well,
and yearned
for more than real life's bitter taste.
Life is but a fine balance
of flavours and senses mixed together
she reminded herself.
Weigh it how you'd like,
though reality and perfection are not a fine match.
Together they continue their search
for that next to perfect
balance.
