Beyond the Horizon

If you could look outside your window
You would know what I am thinking,

Had you followed the flight of the bird
You would know how high I yearn to fly,

If you could lift the veil of assumption
You would perceive the true grit of my will,

If you but walk some distance with me
You would know how far I strive to go,

If you could see beneath the roar of the waves
You would fathom the depth of my passion,

If you were just willing to follow my dreams
You would know where my spirit ever dwells.
