Beware the I'Ds of March

Listen to poem:
Its Spring!, Its March! Winter lulls, Summer looms and beckons Fast forward please! Let's skip Spring's expectations And beware the 'I'ds of March, while you wait: I'd rather it be hot than tepid I'd rather buds were bloomed to blossoms I'd rather the chills were ills in hills I'd like the trees to be clad in leaves I'd like my baby greens fresh if you please I'd like my days longer than nights that freeze I'd rather spring's coil sprung, while winter leaves
