to be vexed “beware of dog”, |
kept him on edge not sure |
of what would happen |
next pushing |
open the old |
wood door He |
________________quite carefully look-________________|
ed around. There asleep \
on the dusty floor He beheld \
a weary old hound "Is that what, \
I'm to beware of?", He asked the \
owner on the right "He hasn't even }}
opened his eyes and doesn't seem likely to
bite" "Oh he would not bite anyone,"\
The owner said, with a grin, "We \
just put up the sign because, \
People kept stepping on him!" \
