Better Days and Nights
Harvey Feinstein,
in I WAS BETTER LAST NIGHT
reflects:
"Artists
return to paint the same landscape
over and again,
but
they do so looking forward."
"The goal isn't to copy
what they've already done,
but to try to capture it all anew."
"The question isn't 'What did I see?'
--it's 'What DO I see?'
And what might we hope to feel
recommemorating
organically reconnecting
inter-religioning
multiculturally regenerating again?
And so it is also true,
I hope:
Artists
and ecofeminists
and compassionate bodhisattvas,
green messianic panentheists
and wounded
suffering GLBTQ+ woke servants
Return each morning contemplating
how and why
to paint this same nurturing EarthTribal landscape over
and redemptively again,
but to do so looking compassionately
win/win
cooperative joy co-invested
ecopolitically health wealth optimizing
forward
Not to competitively win/lose copy
our leftbrain dominant
straight white male privileged past
but to win/win try to capture
blue starlight ecstasy
and full GrandMother Moon integrity
indigenously waxing and waning anew
each re-awakening dawn
and contemplative dusk,
exhaling
Father sunlight
and inhaling
EarthMother's fragrant powers,
robust passions.
