Betrayal
Be careful who you place your trust,
For loyalty can rot to rust.
The ones you swore would guard your name
Are often first to spark the flame.
Behind their grins, their envy hides,
A viper coiled, with hate inside.
Be careful who you call your friend,
Their whispered love can mask the end.
They watch your rise with poisoned eyes,
And cut you down with silent lies.
Betrayal burns — a searing brand,
They grasp your heart, then break your hand.
For he who walks deaf, blind, and still
May never see the blade that kills.
But he who dares to face the fight
Will bleed in dark — yet die in light.
So breathe in deep, though thick with dread,
These valleys echo cries of dead.
Through shadow’s grip, hold fast, stand near —
The fearless march, and march through fear.
