So true Carolyn! wisdom is known of her children, DC is lost in the wilderness of their own human concepts. For now we are subjected, but then, we shall reign. Thanks for your support of my contest. Agape, Moses

I wish we could deny Congress their benefits. But like you say, God will take care of that. Good luck in John's contest!

Yes, indeed! It's the same here - they've raised the retirement age in the hope people will die before claiming their state pensions in England

I'm on S.S. And no raises last two or three years, and there was talk that we would not get a check in August. you know young people will be old someday, we need to take care of those that can't help themselve. a great piece you wrote here.

Well said! I am British, so I am not affected by your country's politics, but we should look after our old and needy. A "weakest to the wall" attitute is appalling. Thankfully, here in Britain we have the welfare state, which does not let people starve or go without medical help. Good luck in the contest. xoxo Robert.

I'm RIGHT with you on this one. i am so angry right now that I am denied, Carolyn. and I am not even really any of these three, just a bit below medium level american without insurance. This is sure to do well in the contest. By the way, I need to know something. Is there a way for us to recall poems we entered in prevoius soup contests. I can't find a record of them anyway. Maybe it's not possible to know? Let me know if we can find it!!

Though I may disagree with the wisdom of the politics, there is much wisdom in telling the truth as seen, and much wisdom in defending your beliefs. Excellent poem Mrs. Carolyn.
