Beneath the Lights

Now that the half-lit vigil of the housewife has ended
And the petitions for forgiveness have begun,
To what shall we aspire?
The worlds are set in motion
And the damaged walls were mended,
Not by the strong willed, broad shouldered
Man of action, but rather
By the joining of two minds,
The blending of thought and feeling,
Shared silences that resonate
Beyond the realm of words.

I read it twice to get the thought that went with "Beneath the Lights" and I could see imagery of a few different things such as a wife and husband, people remodeling....
