Beneath the Harvest Moon
A halo hugs the harvest moon
Hanging amid the autumn sky
A beacon for the farmers boon
And lovely to the naked eye
A hallowed guest of astral lights
That shimmers on both lake and lawn
It inspires bards to brand new heights
Then softly sets before the dawn
No more exquisite sight than this
That's sorely missed throughout the day
A lantern for a lover's kiss
Oh harvest moon please light the way
