Beloved

The love you gave me like golden sunshine; You kept me safe and taught me ways divine, My rock when only darkness felt like mine I pray my hand is still held within thine. Those days, beloved, when I feel all alone My eyes can’t see; inside my heart it’s known You have not left me to be on my own Yet still I wish to hear you on the phone And while you lie in omnificent grace I feel a wayward tear touching my face Beloved I long to reach out for your hand Once more beside me where e’er I stand But I must journey on at life’s command Until we meet again in the Summerland Dedicated to my Nan ***

I am enjoying reading the very diverse poetry here this morning in my Soupland. Words pouring onto paper from poets souls. What a joy to be able to sit and read such wonderful poetry for awhile today. Have a very good day Jem. Love, Carol
