Being Leaf
From tiny green,I hang on to my branch
Protected by those that surround me.
Sturdy in my roots of where and what I am.
From calm,warm breezes
To rain and wind and cold.
I stay sturdy in my place to grow
Many visitors along the way
Helping those that visit my smooth texture
And mabye help create life.
Sometimes being attacked by forces beyond me
But I stay strong and age with beauty
And as my life changes with the seasons
I hang on to my home with all my being
But the time comes as with all things
Time to let go
And as I do
I make my final decent to the earth below
And once again I am one with Mother Nature.
