Being Kind

~ It’s not that hard to just be kind to everyone you meet While shopping at the grocery store or walking down the street Just wish someone a happy day then wait a little while And you will see before too long they’re sure to wear a smile Now lend someone a helping hand when you see they are down Show them that you truly care and wash away their frown When being nice to everyone I know that you will find Each day will bring a better you when you are being kind 6/5/20 For the Kindness poetry contest Sponsored by Regina Riddle

I like this poem a lot. It does make your day when you can be kind and reach out to someone even if it's just an e-mail or sending them a card. Life is too short for all the mean-spiritedness going on in our country now. Very good poem and excellent rhyme scheme. Celine Rose Mariotti
