Beholding Celestial City

Radiant veduta* of the celestial city
enthralling with shades verily wondrous  
highlighting glorious hues 
tints glowing midst heavenly splendor
perfectly-blended colors…

With the Scriptures’ presentation
recorded in Revelation 21
Lord Almighty showed 
panoramic vista so clear
…“that great city… out of heaven from God.”**

Through the eyes of faith
I behold the beauteous grandeur
surpassing painting’s inspiration
marvelous divine cityscape 
believing that there --- I can eternally dwell.

**Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.
