Behind Our Eyes

Beauty ,the tormented pain,
  hiding deep within.
A web of abandoned emotions,
wasted energies and chaotic dreams.

A dark chastising silence,
engulfed with flames.
murderous contempt, within our hearts,
for our fellow self.

Thick black ashes, entangled in a web,
of Stolen time, and memories.

Learning life's lessons,
harshly, without a forgiving word.

Leaving us gasping, for the breath of life...

LOVE!!

loved your poem. if only we could read each others eyes. however as i say that i wonder about people like me that introcular lens implants. hmmmm. really, i digress, it is very well expressed and to me expreses terrible pain. janetta
