Beginning To Rust

I cannot worry about 2082, or even 2032, I cannot figure out in 2021 what I can do To make the changes this old world needs How to overcome humanity’s foul deeds. I’d like to make the world a better place, But we’re already fouling outer space. I certainly cannot change the climate here, Or do what’s necessary to save reindeer. I am thinking the next generation must, ‘Cause my generation is beginning to rust. written September 29, 2021

It's true, Milton, it's quite difficult. In our current world, there are numerous major problems that can be solved with relative ease.

Lasaad, I just can't figure out why people and nations cannot work together to solve them!

There is so many things wrong with our world Milton and so frustrating when sometimes there's an easy fix but nothing is done. Hopefully those coming after us will do a better job. Tom

Oh, I think so, Tom. I have great faith in the younger generation, and I believe they will tackle and solve many of the world's problems we allowed to fester.

So true Milton, it is so difficult. I try to do my part but that is so insignificant. Great writing!

Thanks, Mike. You know, I sometimes think my part is so insignificant, but then if you add all of those small parts together they make a tremendous whole, and sometimes, a substantial difference. Hoping my poem will get more of us involved in making the world a better place!
