Before the Last Sigh

He basks in his life that flashes by, dwells upon a dance of the wind’s reasoning and rhythm, beholden to the vinyl of songs forgiving, when childhood and first love’s beginning journey through his mind, before a final prayer to open the celestial gate. © Harry J Horsman 2021

Okay, Harry. This is a fav+ for me. I am so touched by this! A consolation for me as I think of my father's death so many years ago. Carol Louise

wow, this HAS to win. I think mine won't stand a chance. I should have gone for something more eloquent and focused on final dance, like this one. (if for the last dance contest)

to taste the last sigh of loves long dream, to feel the last stroke of a finger. To capture the look, lost for so long, the sigh of relief as eyes linger. Lost then found so brief, love transcends all, and when found there is no grief.
