Before the Gates of Alahsar - Version - 2 - 15

Chapter..........1..........Part..........2..........1b.

To the right,
where God's light had shone bright,
Warrior Queen,
know your beast is come,
all may not be lost,
he comes from his land of endless night,
indeed, he has heard your plea.
The thunder and lightning,
they now play your symphony,
this is terror's greatest symphony,
the Dark Man does come,
the darkness is soul-destroying,
its hands ever caressing cold,
yet through this darkness,
your Dark Man does come to you.

Now, the beasts do sing with fear,
no longer, do they laugh,
the vengeance of the light is come,
the Dark Man,
summoned by a Warrior Queen's heart,
her blessed tears,
many of the night,
they now know they face oblivion.
The anger of the Gods,
it does strike the earth,
a roar of defiant anger rocks the sky,
upon a mighty lightning bolt,
the king of Unicorns does come,
as black as night,
with the mightiest horn of Ivory,
upon his back,
a figure, completely covered in black,
the Dark Man.

The Arlagh's,
they are beasts who never show fear,
they were kin to the wolf,
they did never run from any foe,
their head was that of wolf,
their torso, that of man,
they had the legs of wolves,
strong sinewed and giving great speed.
In battle,
they were ever moving forward,
they were never known to retreat,
all in Alahsar would die,
they would eat all meat,
red had started this day,
when Arlaghs had struck,
they would eat their fill this day,
drink of the nutriential blood.

Fear spread,
from mortal heart to mortal heart,
lost were antiquities tales,
mortals saw the signs,
they thought all was lost,
yet hope was come,
a hope come from the storm,
come to earth to fight for dream,
what would be the cost?
By the end of bloody day,
would womanhood just fade away?
not all would die of battle lust,
awaiting in chains,
each Arlagh feast,
they would be food for the death feast,
eaten alive, over the coming days,
Would Alahsar's golden love be lost?

Now, he rides forth across Badicha,
tall and proyd,
both Turvehr and the Dark Man,
straight as the errant flame,
they ride our of darkness,
into what is left of light,
His sword, Utamol,
held in his right, black-gloved hand,
he holds it high aloft,
a salute to his Warrior Queen,
held aloft in salute to beauty's all,
in salute to woman's power and glorious majesty,
the glory of his love.
