Before the Gates of Alahsar - Version - 2 - 14

And upon Badicha,
sweet dreams, emerald sea,
"Walk In The Light."
Command yelled,
man and beast onward come,
no quarter given, on this emerald plain,
weapons of destruction,
they now did meet in a thunderous roar,
the thunderous clash of steel,
tortured hearts,
in anguish, they cried out,
life was so quickly snuffed out.
Pain and death,
their victims sought out so easily.
hearts on steadily darkening Badicha,
they were dead before their shells did fall,
this was a clashing of Dark and Light,
who would win?
The Warrior Queen did watch,
she wept at the bloody sight.

The eyes of so many warrior women watched,
tears fell from their eyes,
the blood of their kin nourished the earth,
No honour in this slaughter,
not but fifteen minutes had passed,
sweet Alahsar's manhood
lying upon Badicha, DEAD.
The Warrior Queen had watched all this,
the deep pain of her heart etched on her face,
she now looked up to Heaven's vastness,
her prayer went up, beyond the seen,
she did cry out in her pain,
would he hear?
Would he Come?
all would end in a river of blood,
her heart cried out to her love.

Those who survive the massacre,
they retreat, blindly,
towards the great golden gates,
there, safety would lie for a while,
fear making them run blindly,
the beasts of darkness,
they follow not,
they know the end of Alahsar is come,
staying under their ever-darkening skies,
a strange laughter comes from them,
a burst of guttural laughter.
To the left, darkness comes to the emerald sea,
a sight, never before seen, by those who watched,
"Will all light come to die over Alahsar?
the darkness,
it does ever deepen, it is slowly spreading,
hearts are dismal,
heads do lower,
all is now pain.

Soldiers are now rushing madly,
rushing from the terror of death,
only one thought screaming in the mind,
safety behind golden gates,
wide eyes are the soldiers,
fear exploding within them,
no calming influence upon them.
hearts burning with gear's fire,
the only thoughts were of self-preservation.
Shall all dreams be filled with darkness?
Shall there be no light within dreams?
Only darkened dreams filled with terror,
will the light come out of day?
where now can come victory?
