Before Snowfall

Sweet November came quickly
leaving colourful October behind
from patches of green
now adorned with golden hues
some leaves still clung to branches
but most had blown away
the leaves then would race
up and down the street
back and forth as if in a hurry
only to gather in a corner
and pile up on each other
some had speed
others skipped slowly
undecided which direction to go
they just wanted to finish the race.
before the coming snow.

We had a sizzling October month, and a very cold weather in November so far, it should have been the other way round. I loved your description of the moving leaves, so typical in gusty winds. ABSOLUTELY GREAT. HUGS AND BLESSINGS, JENNIFER.

- We had a beautiful October with lots of sunshine (better than the summer) ... November has been rainy ... - Spring feels far away ... many dark, wet and cold days in the near future - hugs

This is such a light hearted and fun poem. The description is great and I could see the colored leaves whooshing along the ground. Love it. God Bless, JB

Hi Phyllis, I like the description of leaves gathering in a corner, and wanting to finish before the snow, feels like fall to me ~

Thanks for your kind comment on my poem. The leaves sadly are almost all gone with a bit of snow on the ground. I miss all the green of summer. love phyl

Thanks Andrea. So sad to see summer go and not looking forward to winter. Hardly any leaves left and looks so bare. Have a great week. love phyl
