Before Homo Sapiens

Some say aliens inhabited the earth
Before *****sapiens appeared
Pretty sure some are still living among us
Been running the country for years

Some of these yahoos are out of this world
With no correlation to reality
“We the people” was a great new idea
Though it surely dates back to antiquity

The patsies we are, we go with the flow
Don't rock the boat that's for sure
If only someone would stand up and yell
“We ain't gonna take it no more!”

At seventy-seven not too many to go
Won't waste my remaining breath
Conserve it for much more important stuff
Like cheering the Blue Jays till death

Some say aliens inhabited the earth
Before *****sapiens appeared
Wish I could journey back to those times
But that ain't gonna happen I fear

Hey jack.....nice cute poem...you always make me Smile!!!! We the people here....me....just always trying to decide what to fix for supper....why is this always such a big decision for me? Because I cook? No fast food lanes here! :-)

Your back... I don't think I'd want to go back in time... too many Dragons, Trolls, kids, ect... already here... Way to busy for that time travel stuff... After all... What if they wanted to come back with you... one more mouth to feed... LOL

Very intriguing, my friend! As far as aliens go I don't know if they exist or not, but if they do I doubt there anything like we imagine them to be. Probably just as helpless as we are sad to say. I agree with you on "we the people"... for sure a fantastic idea, but no one really plays along to it anymore...just an ideology we cling too for dear life, when in reality it was forgotten long ago... hope all is well with you in regards to your move!

I agree with you in regards that there are still aliens on Earth today! I believe I see them each and every day, whenever we go out there are weirdos doing this or doing that, it's all over the news too, the really weird ones are anyways! I surely loved reading this enlightening poem this evening! You have given me hope that these strange people might really be explained as aliens! I hate to think that they are related to us in some way! This is a phenomenal piece, Great Work!!
