Notes About The Poem

Inspired by the comment Miranda Hawley made to my "After a Storm". Thank you Miranda!

Before a Storm

The day before a storm belies calm and quiet, wispy clouds bounce in skies bright with boundless blueness, Southern summer surprise. The day before a storm promotes a sweet fragrance blown by light, gentle gusts, softly scampering through with breathy upward thrusts. The day before a storm imprints the Southern sky, a taunting, teasing wind caresses blank canvas and moves colors to blend. The day before a storm rattles ironclad glaives of battling stratus clouds, a lull looms in the air warning of what it shrouds.

Well the whole of southern and south west England being hit by a storm we are expecting 90 mph gusts, I don't suppose London will cime Off too bad as there is so much infrastructure In the other areas I should think there will be Lots of damage, as things tend to be rather Creaky, what with everything being overpriced Yesterday was the calm before Linda-Alice.' Which caused me to check out this well done write..'

Your vocabulary days and imagerry, take me back to mine…earlier in Chicago. Where I live now we really have storms. I in no way miss them, though Elena does. I really like this poem! Pangie

I think the whole of Britain has come to realise this. Times sure are changing, and I suppose we'll just have to get used to it.
