Write about “Any Poem” she said,
I racked and wrecked my poor head.
What form should I choose?
Oh PS, she’s not in my shoes,
So it’s best that I retire to bed.

I have been asked so many times to write something for this or that person. It's hard to explain that the words don't just come to me when I want them to. I try and sometimes it works fine and other times I can't think of anything to say. Good stuff here my friend. God Bless, JB

Poetry like this is important as ever. Especially as there are many who have very little life experience and it is hard to get them to relate to anything at all. The good news at least here is that poetry seems to be appearing in more places. Suspect it is because reading a book takes too long where a poem can be read on the run and certain key words or lines can be remembered, mulled over later. Also a copy can be put on the fridge door. Look forward to more gems from you. All the best for 2022

Oh yeah, people always want you to write something, whether those grey cells are in the mood or not. Nicely done.

How true....sometimes I think I should be recording all the time. I get ideas in my head and if I don't write them down immediately, they are lost in poetry oblivion. Blessings, Paulette

Hi Paulette, I like this phrase you used, "lost in poetry oblivion":) can I use it as a title or a poem line? Looks inspiring:)

Sometimes it comes, sometimes it doesn't. At some point, it flows freely. A fun Limerick.

I like this one. We all go through this. You probably dreamed about writing poetry or prose all night. I enjoyed reading it. Way to go. I don't know if it is for a contest, but it reads like a winner to me. Way to go. Thanks for your visit to my page. Sara

This is a beautiful limerick with a perfect visual companion, Victor. It's incredible how our brains work. We don't have to do much more than turn out the lights on certain days. There are moments when our brains go blank. As a consequence, dozing off is preferable to straining our thoughts.

Beautiful limerick with apt image. Sometimes our mind will be so blank. So instead of racking our head, it is better to go to bed... :) :)
