Because of Montana

Because of Montana
I am with you,
now.
Because of Montana
the wind still whispers
through the pines.
Because of Montana
I can lay next to you
even here in the desert
and heat shimmering,
cement of a city.

Another great poem, Doug! I love the use.of.repetition and alliteration and the.idea that a place can change a life’s trajectory.

Loved it! I went over to Montana once when I was visiting Canada. Your poem stirs long ago memories. If I am right in remembering...while there, I went into Glacier National Park. Cheers, Douglas! :) john
