Beauty, the Beast and a Dream
Cornered, conjoured and crippled with a cast,
I poured a pint of pain inside my past,
To drink from dusk 'till dawn a weary woe,
And end thy face that turns a friend to foe.
Of stars that fall and wishes that come true,
A hue of heaven healed my horrid view,
Amidst the mist and twist of beauty's bliss,
A hunchback, now handsome from beauty's kiss.
Yet of my gore is not unchanged by streams,
That show a morbid face unchanged by dreams,
For life and things that's real will never lie...
Thus in my dreams methinks I'd rather die.
Bewithced...beguiled in bloom I'm born a beast,
Though dire in darkness, beauty comes to feast.
