Beauty
Beauty,
What does it look like to you?
Flowers,
Sunsets,
People?
Beauty is so broad yet so slim
Think outside the box
You might get shoved back in,
Beauty can be confusing
I didn’t know it,
Until I chose to learn it.
Be skinny,
Girls be short,
Boys be tall,
Have a pretty face,
Have long flowing hair,
Wear what everyone else is wearing,
Fit. The. Standard.
If you don’t fit it,
You don’t fit beauty.
But, what if beauty wasn’t a look,
A type
A skin color?
What if beauty was catered to you?
How you feel?
How you look?
What if beauty was
Joy,
Anger,
Sadness,
Confusion,
Life?
I learned that beauty starts with you,
Beauty can be so broad,
Beauty is everything you carry,
Including the so-called ugly parts.
You are beauty
