Beautiful Sadness
Listen to poem:
"I don’t think of all the misery
but of the beauty that still remains."
Anne Frank
My heart does mourn looking through windows pane,
As my eyes adorn the bright blue summer’s sky…
My spirit torn for I touch the brittle rain,
And the flowers born speak to me before they die…
I see the gallant rainbows dancing but in their vain,
Humming of music to compose as the day turns to grey…
A ballerina on her tippy toes struggling to abstain,
Holding a rampageous rose as the red drips away…
Upon the beauty of all things I lay me down to sleep,
Awoken by a fruity morn in a silent sadness I do not weep.
