Beautiful

I look to the world around
Struggling to stay above ground
Staring at such brokenness
Why has life lost it’s bliss
I’ve shrank so small
Loosing myself in the
Weight of it all

Darling
I’ve dreamed of you
Oh so many times
Can’t count the times I’ve cried
This life has never gone as planned
Oh how I’ve lost who I am

Dreams become awakened
Memories are not forsaken
As I look up to the stars
I see who you are
You’re beautiful

I’m deathly afraid of being
Stuck in my head
I’m terrified of
The silence of my bed
So many nightmares come and go
Always feeling the lowest low
I feel so empty inside
Covering up the tears I’ve cried

I resort to such lowely desires
Ensnared in such painful wires
I begin to settle again
Trying to forget I’ve been born again
Such guilt crippling my faith
Starting to think it’s all too late
I need a glimpse of your heart
To give me the strength to start
Give me a glimpse of your eyes
So I can begin to fly

Darling
I’ve dreamed of you
Oh so many times
Can’t count the times I’ve cried
This life has never gone as planned
Oh how I’ve lost who I am

Dreams become awakened
Memories are not forsaken
As I look up to the stars
I see who you are
You’re beautiful
